FROM THE BASEMENT TO A HILL

A new bar decor by:

I’ve sent a very succinct invitation to contribute an artwork to the decor of the Autumn Bar to four artists whom I have recently met; in the real world, or in a book. I said:

“The title of this bar decor is a mistakenly remembered title from an album by Elliott Smith from 2003 that I’ve never listened to but the title, yet incorrectly remembered, stayed with me since I encountered it years ago. Do you ever hear the song 'I Feel Good' in your head? From the Basement to a Hill seems to describe a movement from dark to light. Autumn Bar is a different costume for Peach.”

In my mind, I thought of their artworks as therapeutic things but in reality I don’t know how they interpreted my invitation ; and so we’ll see what arrives in the mail soon.

I love this bar, which isn’t really a bar. xg
